DENSO now supplies advanced navigation systems to markets in more than 30 countries.
DENSO navigation systems provide guidance tailored to each country’s road conditions, and operate accurately in any environmental and driving conditions. Through DENSO navigation systems, drivers can easily operate other systems such as a car air conditioner and audio equipment.

DENSO Technology – Leading the World
- In 1987, DENSO launched a car navigation system using digitized map data stored in on-board CD-ROMs.
- The car navigation system DENSO introduced in 1991 performed the world’s first route guidance – showing the route from your position to your destination.
- In 1995, DENSO launched the world’s first navigation system that could access information externally using a cellular phone.
- In 1997, DENSO began using a hard disc for the car navigation system.
- In 2003, DENSO launched the world’s first software that used Bluetooth wireless technology to wirelessly connect car navigation systems and cell phones.
