Data Communication Module

The data communication module, developed for Toyota’s G-BOOK mobility service, offers drivers high-speed seamless Internet connectivity between the vehicle and an external server (G-BOOK center) anywhere, anytime. The data communication module also can send vehicle data such as the vehicle’s position and diagnosis information to the G-BOOK center for security purposes.

DENSO entered the communications field in the late 1960s, and launched its first car transceiver in 1973. In 1985, DENSO used this knowledge to begin developing car and mobile phones. These developments gave DENSO the technology and expertise to become a player in the growing market for intelligent transport systems (ITS) and telematics products.
